Berlene is an excellently versatile spoken word poet who believes in expressionism through literature.
Her works’ genre cuts across social, economic, domestic, cultural and of course, romance.
Given her versatility, she writes poems for publications and spoken word poems as well.
She finished as 1st runner-up at the 2019 Ehalakasa National slam Championship.
Also, she won the Poet of the year award at the GAW world Poetry Day event in 2018.
Her utmost quest as she states;
“I want to cut people deep with my narrative that they may bleed different different colours of emotional responses”
