The Chale Wote Ehalakasa Slam is a poetry competition that will be held on 19th August 2017, at Brazil House, James Town. The competition seeks to promote poetry performance within Ghana and uses the festival to showcase to the Chale Wote audience the talent within Ghana and our passion for poetry.
Ehalakasa is looking for 10 slammers to participate in this years Chale Wote Ehalakasa Slam. These 10 Slammers will be chosen through auditions held before the main event at a disclosed location. Interested persons can however inform us via our contact page so that an email can be sent once the details of the audition are out.
The rules of the Chale Wote Ehalakasa Slam are the same as that of the Ehalakasa Slam. The only difference is that in the first two rounds slammers are eliminated.
1st Round: 4 slammers eliminated
2nd Round: 3 Slammers eliminated

The full details of the prizes are not out yet. The top three slammers however will perform at the Chale Wote Ehalakasa Concert and the Ehalakasa Festival in Apam in September 2017.
The winner will join Ehalakasa in Tamale for the finals of the Ehalakasa Slam in the North. There will also be an exclusive interview and feature on CiTi FM’s Writers Project show.
